Roo Jewellery is an ancient World start- up Jewellery brand running mainly through Instagram at the moment.
I worked with the founder and CEO, Ruth Bannister, to develop the brand and find it's core features. We discovered, among other things, that the brand should have a sustainable and ethical focus with beautiful designs made from demi-fine materials. The marketing strategy we investigated stemmed from her success in selling through social media. We discovered a social media strategy that involved Ruth creating a wonderfully curated social media platform for related historical artefacts as well as her own designs that then drew people onto her online shop should act as a great indirect marketing campaign. It would draw people into her brand so that they then buy her products to adorn themselves with the past. We created a sales strategy for her start-up that focused on selling her adornments directly to retailers building up from local museums, which were already showing an interest in her products, to smaller stockists nationwide and eventually global online retailers such as Wolf and Badger.
